Airport General Director appoints more than 70 officials before retirement
The Minister of Transport has directed the verification of information that General Director of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) Le Manh Hung appointed more than 70 officials before retiring.
Previously, there was information that Mr. Le Manh Hung retired in mid-July, and on June 19 he signed more than 70 decisions (from No. 2335 to 2401) appointing department heads and deputy heads in the Corporation. The new personnel took up their duties from July 1.
In the decisions, there are some departments and offices that are appointed with 3 leaders at the same time (1 head, 2 deputies), such as: Purchasing Department, Architectural Department, Road Department, Equipment Engineering Department...
The basis for making appointment decisions is according to Resolution 1108-NQ/DU of the Party Committee Standing Committee and at the proposal of the Organization - Personnel Committee.

Speaking to VietNamNet, a representative of the Ministry of Transport said that Minister Nguyen Van The has directed the verification of information that Mr. Le Manh Hung appointed more than 70 officials before his retirement. The information will be announced by the Ministry in the next few days.
According to the leader of the Ministry of Transport, the decision to appoint leaders must be based on the needs and authority of the unit. Among them, there are leadership positions decided by the Board of Members, and there are positions decided by the Board of Directors based on a pre-existing plan.
This person also said that ACV is currently restructuring, some departments and offices have changed their names so they have to make reappointment decisions according to regulations. However, if they appoint such a large number at the same time, it is a bit too much. This creates bad public opinion.
