General Director Nguyen The Ky: 'VOV will build promotional programs about Nghe An'

(Baonghean.vn) - That was one of the contents of the working session between the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) delegation and the leaders of Nghe An province on the morning of July 10 about cooperation programs in the coming time.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony of the delegation from Voice of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation to work. The Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee said that the radio system plays an important role in propagating the policies of the Party and the State in Nghe An province, especially in remote, border and island areas.

VOV's propaganda for Nghe An province's activities not only helps promote Nghe An's image to domestic and international friends but also provides suggestions for Nghe An Party Committees and authorities to better perform their political tasks. In addition to paying attention to creating favorable conditions to support Nghe An, VOV also helps Nghe An improve the quality of human resources as well as the technical infrastructure of press agencies.

Expressing his desire to support Nghe An province more in propaganda and image promotion, General Director of Voice of Vietnam Nguyen The Ky affirmed that signing the cooperation agreement is both the responsibility and the task of VOV; thereby, there will be better coordination with the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, departments, branches and press agencies of the province in training, helping local press improve their professional quality. Hopefully, the signed contents will be concretized by specific actions of the press agencies.

The General Director of the Voice of Vietnam also expressed his pride in the homeland of Uncle Ho, who founded the Voice of Vietnam. He said that currently, the Voice of Vietnam has thousands of cadres, reporters, and employees, 8 national radio channels with diverse content and fields; 18 television channels, 1 print newspaper and 2 electronic newspapers; is the only press agency that has all 4 types of journalism and has its own music and dance troupe.

Comrade Nguyen The Ky also said that in recent years, Nghe An has made many efforts and achievements, but in terms of communication, there is still a need to promote more. In the near future, on the occasion of the anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), VOV will have a special commemorative program, including a connection point in Truong Bon and will focus on the program at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs Cemetery. Hopefully, the coordination of propaganda between VOV and the provincial press agencies will be increasingly effective, especially the programs celebrating the province's major holidays.

Next, Mr. Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee presented the draft minutes of coordination between Nghe An province and VOV in information exchange; propaganda, dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies and information on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security to the community in the province. He emphasized that Nghe An needs to proactively provide information, direct localities and units to serve propaganda work and create favorable conditions to support VOV reporters in their work, propaganda and promotion of Nghe An. For complicated issues, Nghe An needs to create favorable conditions for VOV to verify information to guide and contribute to stabilizing public opinion.

VOV will develop programs and plans to propagate and promote Nghe An; direct and implement Resolution 26 of the Politburo on Nghe An; and the achievements in socio-economics, national defense and security of Nghe An. Assist Nghe An Radio and Television Station to develop on par with the region; advise the Government on the implementation of national radio coverage programs in the western region of Nghe An.

At the meeting, Mr. Vu Hai - Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam also presented the plan to organize the 18th National Radio Festival scheduled to be held in Vinh City in mid-May 2018. Through the successful organization of the festival, it contributes to widely promoting the image of the homeland and people of Nghe An, rich in cultural and revolutionary traditions, striving to rise up in the cause of innovation.

Delegates attending the meeting discussed and gave additional suggestions on cooperation contents to improve the quality of the signed programs between Nghe An province and VOV. Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong thanked VOV for its attention to Nghe An province. Nghe An will have many big celebrations in the near future, so through the signing program, Nghe An provincial leaders affirmed that the province will actively support and most effectively implement the signed contents.

Also at the meeting, thanking VOV for its support and attention to Nghe An, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh hoped that Voice of Vietnam would actively support more propaganda about Nghe An, especially in the three areas of investment attraction, tourism development and socio-economic development in the western region of the province, contributing to helping the media nationwide and the world know more about Nghe An./.
