Summary of Lotus Village Festival 2017

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of May 19, in Vinh city, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to summarize the Sen Village Festival and commend collectives and individuals who made outstanding contributions to cultural - sports activities and other activities at the festival.

As a provincial cultural event celebrating the 127th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, during the 4 days of the 2017 Sen Village Festival, many cultural, artistic and sports activities with rich and unique content took place in Vinh city, Nam Dan district and Cua Lo town.

Regarding the ceremony, there are: Flower offering ceremony at Ho Chi Minh statue in Ho Chi Minh Square and parade to Uncle Ho's hometown; Procession of Uncle Ho's photo and offering flowers, incense, reporting achievements, commemorating Uncle Ho at Kim Lien relic site; Opening ceremony and Closing ceremony of Sen Village Festival 2017.

Regarding the festival activities, there are: Volleyball tournament of Sen Village Festival; organizing film screenings on the topic of Uncle Ho; kite flying in Nam Dan; photo exhibition on the topic of the Party and Uncle Ho; camping festival "Youth following Uncle Ho's words" and the national mass art performance "Cau ho cau nhung duong song" with the theme "Offering you folk songs" - performing special performances of the festival in Vinh city and Cua Lo town.

According to the assessment of the Festival Organizing Committee: This year's Festival has truly met the people's need to enjoy and create cultural values, thereby promoting the movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, contributing to building Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of development; promoting the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in localities.

During the festival, domestic and foreign tourists and friends were able to explore and learn about the beauty of Lam Hong land, the cradle of culture, contributing to the formation of the bright moral and ideological personality of President Ho Chi Minh.

The festival has helped people become more deeply aware of their responsibilities, turning their feelings and pride into concrete and practical revolutionary actions, joining hands and hearts, consolidating and building great national unity for the prosperity of the country.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee performed excellent performances of the Mass Art Performance "Songs Connecting Rivers" and awarded groups and individuals with outstanding contributions to cultural - artistic, tourism - sports and other activities at the festival.

Specifically: The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 mass art teams from provinces and cities that participated in the Mass Art Performance "Songs connecting the rivers"; The Organizing Committee awarded excellent prizes to mass art troupes from Cao Bang province, Hanoi city, Ho Chi Minh city and awarded gold prizes to Nghe An, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue and Ha Tinh provinces, awarded 20 Gold medals, 15 Silver medals to performances in the Mass Art Performance "Songs connecting the rivers 2017".

The Organizing Committee awarded the championship cup of the 2017 Lang Sen Festival Volleyball Tournament to the Dien Chau District team, the second prize to the Vinh City team, the third prize to the Nghi Loc and Hung Nguyen District teams; the first prize for decorating propaganda vehicles to Thanh Chuong District, the second prize to Vinh City and Quy Hop District./.
