State Auditor General: Improving labor quality to meet market demands

(Baonghean.vn) – That was one of the explanations and discussions of National Assembly Deputy Ho Duc Phoc at the meeting with voters, which took place on the afternoon of November 29, in Hung Chau commune, Hung Nguyen district.

Attending the conference were National Assembly deputies including Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, State Auditor General; Mr. Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province; Mr. Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh - official of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; leaders of Hung Nguyen district and voters of Hung Chau, Hung Phuc, Hung Loi communes of Hung Nguyen district.

At the conference, voter Nguyen Van Nhuong - Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Hung Chau commune, on behalf of voters of Hung Chau, Hung Phuc, Hung Loi, Hung Khanh, Hung Phu, Hung Nhan communes, requested the State to pay attention to building a bridge across Hanh Phuc canal for students of 6 communes and people to travel. The current situation is that the bridge is narrow, made of old wood that has degraded and damaged.

Also related to the issue of infrastructure serving people's needs, voter Nguyen Huu Giam in Hung Chau commune said that just recently, the Hung Chau commune area, although located within the Ta Lam dike, was still flooded. "I propose to study the construction of drainage culverts to ensure the lives of local people in the area, especially during the rainy season," said Mr. Giam.

Voter Nguyen Duc Kim in Hung Chau commune proposed investing in a water plant to ensure domestic water for the people; at the same time, proposed solutions to create jobs for students after graduation.

Voter Nguyen Ngoc Quyen - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Chau commune proposed that the State have a truly drastic poverty reduction policy, invest in rural areas to narrow the rich-poor gap between urban and rural areas.

At the conference, voters also made recommendations on policies for people with meritorious services such as: policies for people imprisoned by the enemy; people infected with Agent Orange; investment in upgrading Provincial Road 542B from Vinh City to the tourist road along Lam River, 8km long, currently has many potholes, narrow roads, so traffic accidents often occur, making travel difficult; not increasing the retirement age compared to the present...

On behalf of the National Assembly deputies, Mr. Ho Duc Phoc responded to voters' recommendations. Regarding poverty reduction, the State Auditor General said that there are many groups of poor people, including those who have the ability to work but do not have the means, materials, or capital. The State has many support policies, creating conditions for people to escape poverty; and for groups such as the elderly who have no place to rely on, there are support policies to ensure their lives...

In particular, in the process of poverty reduction, the head of the State Audit said that the commune-level government must be really close; the district and provincial levels must have mechanisms to help and support.

Regarding the issue of job creation for workers, especially students after graduation, Mr. Ho Duc Phoc emphasized that workers should change their mindset, working in the public sector is not the only way but should focus on the labor market for businesses and economic types.

On the other hand, the quality of training must also be improved so that workers are accepted by the market. Currently, the students trained hardly meet the requirements. "I have proposed to the Minister of Education and Training to improve the quality of training to meet the needs not only domestically but also internationally," Mr. Ho Duc Phoc shared.
