Comprehensive review of the implementation of preferential policies for people with meritorious services.
(Baonghean.vn) -On April 11th, the Provincial People's Committee organized a conference to launch the comprehensive review program on the implementation of preferential policies for people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution. Attendees included representatives from relevant departments and agencies, the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns, the Fatherland Front Committee, the Veterans Association, the Former Youth Volunteers Association, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange, and other organizations at all levels, as well as representatives from pilot communes and wards implementing the program.
Over the course of a day, delegates were briefed on the summary report of the review program (according to Directive No. 23/TTg of the Prime Minister and Plan No. 27/KH-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee) and the announcement of the decision to establish the Provincial Steering Committee for the review; a report on the coordination program between the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and the assignment of tasks to member organizations of the Front; and guidance from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on the implementation of the General Review program, on the confirmation of martyrs and war invalids in the war without original documents, and on the examination and assessment of diseases, disabilities, deformities, and birth defects related to exposure to chemical toxins. The organizing committee also spent time answering delegates' questions about potential issues that may arise during the review process.
Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Bang Toan - Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee for reviewing the implementation of preferential policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution in the province - requested that district-level delegates clearly understand the requirements and content of the comprehensive review program in order to organize training for communes and wards; striving to complete the review in pilot communes and wards by May. During the review process, localities encountering difficulties should promptly inform the Department of People with Meritorious Services - Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Movement Committee - Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for coordinated resolution.
