Mr. Phuc said that the dismissal was because Mr. Phan Van Sau had submitted a petition to the Politburo requesting to resign from his duties as Government Inspector General.
"Mr. Phan Van Sau has submitted a resignation letter from the position of Inspector General due to health and family reasons to transfer to another suitable position and task. When Mr. Sau submits a resignation letter, it must be accepted," said Mr. Phuc.
The press continued to question whether, for Minister of Transport Truong Quang Nghia, he was assigned other tasks, while for Government Inspector General Phan Van Sau, he resigned after only a short time. Was there a waste in personnel work?
The Secretary General of the National Assembly said: "It's hard to predict this. When I was first elected, the official was promoted from a local position to Deputy of the Central Economic Committee and then to the Government Inspector General, so I was very excited and honored.
However, after a period of working, his health and family were in trouble, and he could not fulfill his duties and responsibilities, so he resigned. I think this should be supported and encouraged because if people are forced to try hard, they will not be able to complete their tasks.

According to Mr. Phuc, the approval of the new Minister of Transport and Government Inspector General personnel will be based on the personnel list submitted by the Government.
Specifically, the Prime Minister will present the personnel to the National Assembly and whoever is presented will be approved by the National Assembly.
"Whether or not to approve is the right of the National Assembly," Mr. Phuc added.
