"I told the Polish Foreign Minister when he spoke in Minsk that we have no intention of going to war with them. Therefore, there is no need to build additional bases. Otherwise, Belarus and Russia will respond accordingly," said President Lukashenko.

"We are peace-loving people, we do not want war... I have affirmed dozens, even hundreds of times, that negotiations are better than bloodshed" - the head of state of Belarus emphasized.

Mr. Lukashenko added that world public opinion highly appreciates the measures that Belarus is taking to ensure security in the European region.

Poland has previously offered the United States to deploy an armored brigade on its territory and is ready to pay for all costs, in the range of one and a half to two billion dollars. This proposal was made in an agreement between the two sides, outside the framework of NATO.
