What is the purpose of all these actions?
It is also known that, according to the orders of the Pentagon, in case of necessity to go to Europe, several thousand more US military personnel will be put on high alert - in addition to the previously announced number of 8.5 thousand.
All of these actions are aimed at deterring Russia from invading Ukraine and waging war in Eastern Europe, according to officials familiar with the matter, while the Biden administration continues to work on a diplomatic solution to the problem, including preparing economic sanctions.
