During the solemn session of the Ukrainian Parliament on May 20, Mr. Zelenskiy took the oath of office before the people and delivered an inaugural speech in parliament. In that speech, Mr. Zelenskiy did not mention Russia at all.
"This is perhaps the biggest contrast to what we have heard over the past five years," Lukyanov said on the magazine's Telegram channel.
Mr. Lukyanov noted that Mr. Zelenskiy's predecessor, former President Poroshenko, frequently mentioned Russia and the Russian president in almost every speech, even when the topic was not directly related to Moscow.
