South Korean President Moon Jae-in appoints 16 new vice ministers
The reshuffle is seen as Moon Jae-in's readiness to take a firmer grip on the country's affairs as he enters his third year in power.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in on December 14 appointed 16 new vice ministers, including two vice finance ministers, in a sweeping reshuffle of senior government officials ahead of his third year in office starting in 2019, Yonhap reported.

According to the Presidential Office, the South Korean leader appointed Mr. Lee Ho-seung, presidential assistant for employment, as first vice finance minister, replacing incumbent Vice Minister Koh Hyeong-gwon.
Koo Yun-cheol, chief of the Budget Office at the Ministry of Finance, was appointed as second vice finance minister, replacing Kim Yong-jin.
In addition, Moon Jae-in also appointed Kim Yong-sam, a top official at the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, as first vice minister of culture and sports, and Mun Mi-ock, presidential assistant for science and technology, as first vice minister of science.
