President Joe Biden reveals the timeline for ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

In a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, US President Joe Biden expressed confidence that the conflict in Ukraine would end after the US Congress votes to allocate new aid to Kyiv.

"The war in Ukraine will end when the House leader votes to pass the aid package. There is overwhelming support for Ukraine from both Democratic and Republican majoritys. The vote must happen now," President Joe Biden said.

However, at the press conference, the American leader ignored the repeated questions from journalists about whether the US planned to establish peace in Ukraine.

House Speaker Mike Johnson had previously expressed hope that lawmakers would be able to begin considering a bill to support Kyiv when they returned to work after the recess in April.

According to Mike Johnson, the bill will introduce new concepts and approaches, particularly a provision for the seizure of frozen Russian assets. This could lead to increased discontent among party members who do not support Ukraine. They might try to force him out of the House of Commons if the bill is brought to a vote. The Democratic minority in the House is hinting that they are willing to support Johnson in this case.

In December 2023, the US government exhausted its capacity to supply weapons to Ukraine. Only a $300 million aid package was delivered in 2024. The White House's request for $60 billion in aid to Kyiv is awaiting approval.
