The US president reiterated statements made by Republican officials over the weekend that he was not considering firing special counsel Mueller.
President Trump’s legal team has made new accusations against the investigators. Accordingly, in a letter sent to Congress on December 16, attorney Kory Langhofer accused Mr. Mueller’s office of violating the US Constitution by illegally collecting emails from a government agency. Among these emails were confidential exchanges between the legal team and their clients.
After this accusation was made, many senior White House officials told the media that the President had no intention of firing special counsel Robert Mueller./.
