US President determined to deal with shootings

US President Donald Trump has vowed to deal with the mass shootings in the country, Vice President Mike Pence told reporters just hours after the massacre in Texas yesterday (August 31) that left many people dead and injured.

Mr. Pence emphasized:“I have spoken with the President. He has reached out to the Attorney General and we will deploy the full resources of the federal government and the full force of the law to support the investigation. We are heartbroken for the families of those who have lost loved ones in recent mass shootings. The President, I and our administrations are determined to work with leaders of both parties in Congress to take steps to address the mass tragedies that have struck America.”

Earlier yesterday, the police in the US state of Texas announced that at least one gunman had shot multiple victims and hijacked a mail truck in the city. Initial information said that at least 5 people were killed and 21 were injured.
