US President Joe Biden to visit Southeast Asia in November

President Biden will attend the COP27 Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on November 11, highlighting US efforts to advance the global fight against climate change. President Biden will then visit Cambodia for two days (November 12-13) to attend the US-ASEAN Summit and the East Asia Summit.

According to information from the White House, President Biden will reaffirm the US commitment to Southeast Asia and the bloc's central role as well as emphasize the importance of US-ASEAN cooperation in ensuring security and prosperity in the region.

President Biden will also visit Indonesia from November 13-16 for the G20 Summit in Bali. President Biden will discuss with his partners in the group how to respond to challenges including climate change, the global impact of the crisis in Ukraine, and priorities important to the global economic recovery.

US Vice President Kamala Harris will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Thailand on November 18 and 19. Her participation will highlight the US commitment to economic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region and outline the US goals for APEC 2023, when the US is the host country. Harris will then visit the Philippines, thereby reaffirming and strengthening the alliance between the two countries./.
