Reuters reported that US President Donald Trump said he decided not to impose additional sanctions on North Korea because he wanted to maintain a good relationship with leader Kim Jong-un and because the North Korean people had "suffered a lot."
Speaking to reporters at his Florida resort, President Trump said: "I don't think additional sanctions are necessary at this time. However, that doesn't mean I won't impose (additional sanctions) later."
President Trump continues to assert that he has a good relationship with leader Kim Jong-un.
“I think it's incredibly important to maintain that relationship as long as possible,” he said.
