Immediately after the US President's Air Force One landed in Paris near midnight on November 29, the Obama convoy went straight from Orly Airport to the Bataclan theater, where 90 victims were killed in the bloody attacks by jihadist terrorists on November 13. The self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for this series of attacks.
Accompanying them was Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, and at a temporary memorial site set up at the theater, Mr. Hollande and Mr. Obama respectfully laid flowers in memory.
It is known that while Mr. Obama arrived at the Bataclan theater, many helicopters were mobilized and police stood at many intersections. Today (November 30), in Paris, the 21st United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP-21) took place, so security concerns are being raised in the French capital, especially after a series of terrorist attacks that occurred in mid-November.
