Russian President invites US counterpart Donald Trump to Moscow

On July 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had invited his US counterpart Donald Trump to Moscow, emphasizing that both leaders were ready for a second summit.

Speaking at the expanded conference of the BRICS group of leading emerging economies and leaders of invited countries, taking place in South Africa, President Putin said he was ready to meet his US counterpart and President Trump also had similar thoughts.

According to him, Russia and the US need to discuss global conflicts as well as the Iran nuclear deal, stressing that it is inappropriate to exchange information by phone. The Russian leader also affirmed that despite many challenges in Russia-US relations, the two countries will continue to keep in touch.
