President Putin: 'Golden Billion' Countries Exploit the Rest of the World
(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking at the Russia-Latin America International Parliamentary Conference, President Vladimir Putin said that modern credit relations are allocated in a structure that only serves the interests of "golden billion" countries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that these “golden billion” countries, or more precisely their leaders, “exploit most other countries in the world” through the abuse of their positions in technology, information and finance.
The Russian leader stressed that current international financial institutions operate in a way that benefits no one, except the “golden billion” countries.
According to the Kremlin “boss”, Western elites are forcing developed countries to borrow money at exorbitant interest rates. “Therefore, we must all act together to change the rules of the global economic and financial system” – President Putin called.
For its part, Russia is ready to establish relations with Latin American countries on a bilateral basis and within the framework of international structures. Moscow supports the view that the countries of Latin America, with their unity and diversity, should be strong, independent and successful.
President Putin also pledged that Russia would establish ties between Latin American countries and the Eurasian Economic Union, aiming to address issues such as trade policy, tariff regulations, investment incentives and technology transfer.
This is not the first time that Russian President Putin has mentioned the complete dominance of the so-called “golden billion” countries. In July 2022, at the Forum “Strong Ideas for the New Era”, President Putin said: “The dominance model of the so-called “golden billion” is unfair. Why do these “golden billions” dominate everyone among the entire population of this planet, forcing them to impose their own rules? Based on the pure illusion of privilege, such models are dividing ethnic groups into superior and inferior. Therefore, their nature is inherently racist and neo-colonial, stifling the search for creativity and freedom to create history.”
