The Russian leader added that the pipeline from Greece to Italy has been built. Although there is no gas yet, the pipeline system has been established. Therefore, President Putin suggested discussing the filling of this gas line with real products.
"This is a question that needs to be considered separately. First of all, from the point of view of the overall economy for all parties involved in the business, including the Russian side. We do not exclude this, but it is quite possible. Moreover, Moscow believes that this project is very realistic," the head of state added.
The Turkish Stream project involves the construction of a two-way gas pipeline with a capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters. The first line supplies gas to Turkish consumers, the second - to the countries of Southern and Southeastern Europe.
The commissioning of both lines of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline is planned before the end of 2019.
