President Putin: There is a way for Israel-Iran to escape the current situation
President Putin said that there are plans to get Israel and Iran out of the current situation, and it depends on the leaders of those countries.

According to RIA Novosti on June 19, late on the night of June 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with heads and representatives of leading news agencies around the world. For nearly two hours, the president answered current questions, mainly on the topic of international politics.
The main question of the press conference was asked by many agencies: what does the Russian leader think about the conflict between Israel and Iran.
President Putin stressed that this issue is very complicated. On the one hand, Iran wants to develop peaceful nuclear energy, on the other hand, Israel is concerned about its own security.
"It seems to me that it would be right for everyone to seek to end hostilities and seek for all sides in this conflict to reach an agreement with each other that would ensure Iran's interests - its nuclear activities, including peaceful nuclear activities. Of course, I mean both peaceful nuclear energy and peaceful nuclear energy in other areas, and ensure Israel's interests from the standpoint of the unconditional security of the Jewish state," the Russian president said.
And the most important thing, according to Mr. Putin, is that such options exist. Moscow has presented them to all sides in the conflict, as well as to the US. The Russian president did not reveal exactly what they are.
President Putin was the only leader who, on the very first day of the Israel-Iran conflict (June 13), had phone calls with both the Israeli Prime Minister and the Iranian President.
“We are not imposing anything on anyone, we are just talking about how we see a possible way out of this situation. But of course, the decision depends on the political leadership of all these countries, primarily Iran and Israel,” President Putin said.
In addition to the Israel-Iran issue, the Ukraine issue was also raised by the press. Mr. Putin recalled the causes of the conflict and stressed that Russia wants to end it "as quickly as possible" and preferably peacefully.
"We need to find a solution that not only ends the current conflict, but also creates conditions so that such situations do not recur for a long time in history," President Putin said.
According to the Kremlin chief, much depends on Kiev: in the spring of 2022, they abandoned the Istanbul agreements, at the request of the Western allies. In May 2025, the dialogue resumed. The parties are now discussing the possibility of holding a third meeting this year, after June 22.
“We are in contact, our negotiating teams are in contact,” the Russian president said, denying accusations from Western politicians and media that he did not want to negotiate.
