"We need to reach an agreement that ensures minimal escalation of tensions in Idlib. The provinces can maintain a ceasefire, but this does not mean that we should stand idly by while terrorist groups persist there. Therefore, I propose to consider concrete practical steps that Russia, Türkiye and Iran can take together to completely destroy the terrorist nest," Putin said.
The heads of Russia, Iran and Türkiye earlier held the fourth Trilateral Summit of Government Leaders to ensure the Astana process to promote the settlement of the conflict in Syria.
