"We need to reach an agreement that ensures the minimum escalation of tensions in Idlib. The provinces can maintain a cessation of military operations, but this does not mean that we should stand idly by and watch the existence of terrorist groups there. Therefore, I propose to consider concrete practical steps that Russia, Türkiye and Iran can take together to completely destroy the terrorist nest," Mr. Putin said.
The heads of Russia, Iran and Türkiye earlier held the fourth Trilateral Summit of Heads of Governments to ensure the Astana process to promote the settlement of the conflict in Syria.
