President Putin: Russia will not trade its sovereignty for 'sausages'
(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking at the 21st Congress of the United Russia Party, President Vladimir Putin declared that Russia will not give up its sovereignty "in exchange for sausages" and become "someone's" satellite.

According to TASS, President Putin emphasized that every Russian citizen must remember that the Russian Federation will be a sovereign power or it will not exist, "this postulate must be in the mind and heart of each of us".
"Russia cannot, like some countries, give up its sovereignty for sausages and become someone's satellite," President Putin said.
This is why "Russia itself will decide and create its future," the Russian leader stressed.
"This is the worldview of a sovereign state, the basis for national unity and common responsibility," President Putin shared.
The Russian leader pointed out that the Western elites have been increasing their aggressive methods year after year, hoping not only to bring down the Russian economy and society, but also to sow internal political instability.
"However, such formulas are no longer effective, and I am sure that they will not be effective in relations with Russia - a free, independent and sovereign country" - President Putin affirmed.
Mr. Putin believes that Russia not only has the power to be strong, but also the country's vital need. "Although there are still differences in all points of view, all political forces have the responsibility to remember what is most important for the country. And this is the fate and interests of Russia. It is the happiness, hopes and dreams of the next generation," President Putin emphasized./.
