President Trump: No need to worry about World War 3 anymore
US President Donald Trump said that, given the current situation, there is no need to worry about the world moving closer to World War III.
According to RIA Novosti on August 30, in an interview with Mark Levin, US President Donald Trump said that there is a good chance to resolve the conflict in Ukraine after successful negotiations with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine: Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
“So we’re going to try to prevent this conflict, and I think we have a good chance,” President Trump said.
Mr. Trump added that he was somewhat optimistic about the Ukraine issue, although he still recognized that this was a difficult problem that would not be easy to solve.
The US President also stated that he has a good relationship with Russian President Putin, and without mutual understanding, the US would be in danger. According to Mr. Trump, “we should no longer worry about the possibility of World War III,” and noted that, under the administration of President Joe Biden, the situation had become worse, but “it will not happen now.”
In addition, President Trump said that European leaders at talks held at the White House on August 18 expressed concerns about who will be the next US president, including European security issues.
Commenting on the possibility that the future US leader would abolish import tariffs on European goods, Mr. Trump expressed his opinion that this would not happen.
“We have an outstanding bench of successors, there are really talented people on there. You see a lot of people, and I think there will be great people in the government,” President Trump added.
