President Trump explains the need to resume nuclear testing
President Donald Trump said testing nuclear weapons is to ensure the devices still work properly.

According to RIA Novosti on November 3, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with CBS News that nuclear tests are necessary to ensure the continued functionality of weapons, in the context of tests reportedly being conducted in Russia and China.
"We have to see how it works. The reason I talk about testing is because Russia has said they're going to test, North Korea keeps testing. And other countries. We're the only country that's not testing. I don't want the United States to be the only country that's not testing nuclear weapons," President Donald Trump said.
Responding to a host's question about Russia testing air defense systems rather than nuclear weapons, President Trump said that Russia and China were allegedly conducting tests but did not elaborate.
However, the US President said that he is interested in reducing nuclear weapons.
In addition, President Donald Trump said he was not considering providing Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. When asked if his administration would transfer these missiles to Kiev, the US President replied: "No." Reporters then asked if he was considering such a move, Mr. Trump affirmed "no." The US President then added that this stance could change. "But right now, I will not do it," he emphasized.
Also in an interview with CBS, Mr. Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are "strong and smart people" and "should not be messed with."
"They're both tough, they're both smart... they're both very strong leaders. They're not people you mess with," President Trump said.
