US President Donald Trump said he will meet with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House in the coming days.

According to RIA Novosti on October 14, US President Donald Trump confirmed that he plans to meet with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on October 17.
"I think so," President Trump said in response to a reporter's question about meeting Mr. Zelensky.
The US president added that his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan could help resolve the Ukraine conflict.
"Mr. Erdogan has great respect for Russia. I cannot say anything about Ukraine. But I respect Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Turkish President - my friend" - the head of the White House said.
Earlier on October 16, the Financial Times reported on President Trump's intention to meet with Mr. Zelensky, citing reliable sources. Meanwhile, the New York Post cited the Ukrainian embassy in Washington as saying that the Ukrainian leader had received an official invitation to the White House.
On October 12, Mr. Zelensky revealed a phone call with President Trump, which mentioned strengthening Ukraine's air defense system. The Axios news portal cited two sources as saying that President Trump and Mr. Zelensky discussed the possibility of Kiev receiving Tomahawk missiles by phone.
