British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's spokesman said the country's Parliament will begin to suspend its activities after the end of the working day on September 9 and last for a month at the request of the British leader.

Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow has said the government's plan to postpone the UK's parliament until October 14 is "unconstitutional", saying the move is designed to prevent the legislature from debating Brexit and fulfilling its duty to shape the country's future.

Meanwhile, the leader of the opposition Labour Party in the UK, Jeremy Corbyn, also said that the plan to postpone the working schedule of Parliament was unconstitutional and threatened national democracy.

However, Mr. Mnuchin did not specifically mention any potential targets.

Ankara and Washington have been at loggerheads over Turkey's purchase of the S-400s, which the US says are incompatible with NATO defense systems and pose a risk to Lockheed Martin's F-35 stealth fighter jets.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has affirmed that the focus of its mission in Afghanistan has not changed following recent developments related to the negotiation process between the US and the Taliban insurgents.

In a statement on September 9, NATO emphasized that the organization will still carry out its mission of supporting Afghan security forces in the fight against terrorism and building peace in this Southwest Asian country.

Currently, NATO maintains about 16,000 troops in Afghanistan, with the mission of training and advising the host country's security forces.

NATO has said it will maintain its presence in Afghanistan as long as necessary to ensure the country does not become a safe haven for international terrorists again.
