Ukraine's president says country can become 'regional leader'
To become a regional leader, Ukraine needs to believe in it, President Piotr Poroshenko said at a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Kropivnitsky.
“This is a mission for the next five years: the leadership of a country where rich, free and happy people live,” he concluded.
Ukraine's economy is in decline after the events of 2014. Kiev is trying to carry out economic reforms, taking loans from the IMF, which affects the well-being of its citizens.
At the end of last year, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine published data according to which about a third of Ukrainians live below the poverty line.
