Ukrainian President Zelensky rules out ending conflict with territorial concessions
(Baonghean.vn) - President Volodymyr Zelensky affirmed that the conflict in Ukraine will not end with the transfer of part of the territory; and as soon as the weather conditions are favorable, the counter-offensive will end.

“No. This is our territory,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with CBS, answering the question of whether he was ready to give up part of his territory for peace.
According to President Zelensky, Ukraine's counteroffensive will continue, when weather conditions are favorable.
“We need to move forward. Forget about the weather and things like that,” the Ukrainian leader said.
Previously, on September 17, the Wall Street Journal (USA) quoted a Western defense official as saying that Ukraine needs to change its approach to continue maintaining the current counter-offensive campaign.
According to the official, the current weather conditions in Ukraine will worsen before November with more rains and muddy terrain making it difficult for heavy armored vehicles to move. At that time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces should switch their strategy to protecting infrastructure from Russian drones and missiles in the winter.
On August 15, Chief of Staff of NATO Secretary General Stian Jenssen shared with Verdens Gang (Sweden) that Ukraine could become a member of the alliance if the country agreed to cede territories to Russia.
The Ukrainian government has repeatedly criticized NATO for not having enough supplies, while the alliance insists that Kiev has been provided with everything it needs to successfully counterattack.
Ukrainian media noted that Western countries could sharply reduce financial and military assistance if Ukraine fails to make progress on the battlefield by the end of the fall. They also said that President Zelensky did not listen to the advice of Western experts. And this led to catastrophic losses for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the loss of control over territories such as Mariupol, Artemovsk (or Bakhmut) and other densely populated areas.
