UN Secretary-General condemns plot to assassinate Iraqi Prime Minister
VOV.VN - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on November 7 condemned the plot to assassinate Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned the attempted assassination of the Iraqi Prime Minister and called for those responsible to be held accountable. He called on the Iraqi people to exercise maximum restraint and rejected violence and any attempt to destabilize Iraq. He also urged all political actors to uphold the constitutional order and resolve their differences through inclusive and peaceful dialogue.
According to Secretary-General Guterres, the United Nations will continue to stand side by side with the people and Government of Iraq in their efforts towards a better future./.
