In the TOP 10 ranking of companies chosen by employees as the most desirable place to work by JobStreet.com Vietnam (the number 1 job network in Southeast Asia), 4/10 positions belong to Vietnamese enterprises: Vinamilk, Vingroup, FPT and Viettel.
This is the result just announced by JobStreet.com Vietnam, after conducting a survey of over 2,500 employees from many industries and fields of operation in the second quarter of 2016 to find out the leading companies that they most desire to work for in Vietnam.
Leading the rankings is the large enterprise in the field of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Unilever Vietnam Company; ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively are Vietnam Dairy Products Company (Vinamilk) and Vingroup Corporation. These are 2 domestic listed enterprises with large capitalization in the current market.
The next four positions in the technology sector are divided equally between domestic and foreign enterprises, including: Samsung, FPT, Viettel and Intel.
The last three representatives on this list continue to belong to the FMCG sector: Nestle, P&G, Suntory PepsiCo.
JobStreet.com Vietnam also listed the TOP 5 companies that employees want to work for in 4 popular fields today such as FMCG, information technology-telecommunications, retail and finance-banking.
The results show that 4/5 of the units in the FMCG sector ranking belong to multinational corporations. The only Vietnamese representative in the TOP 5 is Vinamilk. In the ranking of enterprises in the information and telecommunications technology (ICT) sector, Vietnamese companies FPT and Viettel are listed in the 2nd and 3rd positions. Leading the list is Samsung Vina, with its strength in manufacturing smartphone hardware, which currently has the largest market share in Vietnam. In the 4th and 5th positions are Intel and Bosch, which are also strong in manufacturing large hardware in the world.
In the distribution-retail sector, domestic enterprises showed dominance with 4 representatives: Vingroup, FPT Shop, Viettel Store and Mobile World in the top 4 positions. The only foreign representative was Japan's leading retail group - AEON. Meanwhile, in the finance-banking sector, the top 3 positions in the rankings all belonged to domestic banks. The first and second positions were the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV). The third position was Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank).
Along with compiling the rankings of the companies that employees most want to work for, JobStreet.com Vietnam also researched the reasons why these companies are so attractive to employees.
Surprisingly, factors related to salary, bonus and benefits are not the top factors chosen by employees. Accordingly, having open opportunities for development and career advancement is the factor that many employees prioritize (accounting for 50.7% of the total votes). The second factor that makes employees want to work at the above enterprises is the opportunity to receive professional training (44.8%). Factors related to attractive benefits (44.3%) and competitive salaries (33.5%) ranked 3rd and 4th respectively.
