Top clubs contributing many players to Asian Cup
FOX Sports has compiled a list of clubs that contributed the most players to the 2019 Asian Cup. Vietnam's Hanoi FC made the list.
Hanoi FC ranked 5th in this statistic. The 2018 V-League champion contributed 7 names including Thanh Chung, Duy Manh, Van Hau, Duc Huy, Hung Dung, Quang Hai and Van Dai. This is also the number of players that Hanoi contributed to the Vietnam national team winning the AFF Cup, however, there were some changes in personnel when Van Dai replaced Van Quyet, Thanh Chung replaced Dinh Trong.

Besides Hanoi, 6 other clubs also made similar contributions including Al-Riffa (Bahrain), Ahed (Libang), A-Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Buriam United (Thailand), Ahal (Turkmenistan) and Al-Ain (UAE).
The club that contributed the most players to the 2019 Asian Cup is Attyn Asyr of Turkmenistan. The second place is Dordoi Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and Al-Sadd (Qatar), each with 10 players.
Currently, the Vietnamese national team is training in Qatar. On December 31, Coach Park Hang-seo and his team will have a friendly match with the Philippines before participating in the Asian Cup. In this tournament, Vietnam is in Group D with Iran, Iraq and Yemen. The team's opening match will be against Iraq on January 8.
