Top electric cars with the longest travel distance in the world, the leader is stunned

Long-distance travel capacity has always been a factor that consumers doubt when weighing the difference between buying an electric car and a traditional car. However, these doubts have now been gradually erased as the operating range of electric cars has been impressively increased.

Currently, according to the official records of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the electric vehicle with the longest operating range in a single charge/discharge cycle is the Lucid Air sedan from the emerging manufacturer Lucid. The high-end Grand Touring version can run up to 516 miles, equivalent to about 825km with just one full charge.

The base version of the Lucid Air is also said to have the longest range base version of any electric vehicle with a range of 410 miles, or about 650km.

Coming in second on the list of longest-range electric cars is the high-end Model S from the world’s number one electric car manufacturer, Tesla. The car has a range of 405 miles, or about 640km, just a little less than the base version of the Lucid Air.

Coming in at number three is the Hyundai Ioniq 6 with a range of up to 361 miles, or about 577km.

The 4th position continues to be called the representative name from Tesla, Model 3 Long Range - Long-range version with parameters of 358 miles, equivalent to about more than 570km, however, according to the manufacturer, the operating parameters are 325 + miles, or about 520km. With a selling price of about 1,250 billion VND in the US market, Model 3 Long Range is significantly more expensive than the regular Model 3 version of only about 930 million VND, but in return, it only has a modest operating range of over 430km.

Next is still a Tesla representative with the high-end Model X, offered for sale at a price of more than 2.3 billion VND, with an operating range announced by the EPA of 555km.

We can see that in the Top 5 electric cars with the longest range on a single charge, there are 3 representatives from Tesla. And for the Top 10 according to the Business Insider ranking, there is also the Tesla Model Y in 7th place. This shows us that the technology of long-distance travel of Tesla electric cars is very good for all product segments.

However, recently, there has been a competitor from China, Zeekr, a start-up electric car company that is a subsidiary of the giant Geely, which has announced the Zeekr 001 crossover model equipped with a 140 kWh Qilin battery pack that can operate up to 1,025km according to Chinese standards, or at least over 900km according to the world's common standards. Although it has not officially entered production and distribution, this will certainly be a candidate to take the top spot in terms of electric car operating range that Lucid Air is holding in the near future.
