Tottenham 3 - 1 Aston Villa: Harry Kane rescues the 'roosters'
(Baonghean.vn) - Tottenham will host the newly promoted Aston Villa at home in round 1 of the Premier League.
Previously, Man City and Liverpool had entered the field and won resounding victories on the opening day of the Premier League.
If Liverpool had a convincing 4-1 victory over Norwich, then defending champion Man City did even more with a 5-star victory over West Ham United. Therefore, Spurs are determined to get 3 points against Aston Villa to start the exciting race.
With home advantage and a squad of quality players, Tottenham confidently held the ball and launched an attacking game right from the opening whistle. In the first 5 minutes of the match, the home team had at least 2 chances to open the score, but unfortunately Lucas Moura could not convert the opportunities into goals.

Having been behind early on, Tottenham continued to push forward but were met with fierce resistance from the visitors. With a tight and disciplined defense, Aston Villa players really showed that they had prepared well for their trip to London to face Tottenham in the opening match.
On the home team side, the expected contract Ndombele did not really play well, when being blocked by the midfielders of the away team. With the away team Aston Villa, they chose a slow, steady style of play, occasionally having quick attacks that caused many dangers to goalkeeper Lloris' goal.
It wasn't until the 34th minute of the match that the home team had a clear situation after Harry Kane's shot from outside the box, but the ball went over the crossbar after touching an Aston Villa player.
Before the end of the first half, it seemed like Tottenham had a chance to equalize the score when Ndombele had a pass that Kane headed from about 5 meters away, but the ball went just over the crossbar.

With the opening goal, the "roosters" began to play more freely. Under pressure from the home team, Aston Villa players gradually revealed their inexperience in slowing down the pace of the match, especially against a pressing opponent like Tottenham.
And what had to happen happened, in the 86th minute, Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish lost the ball in the middle of the field, creating an opportunity for Lamela to take a shot and send the ball right to Kane's position for the England striker to take the rebound, raising the score to 2-1 for Tottenham.
In the 90th minute, Harry Kane completed his double after a quick counter-attack and a diagonal shot that beat goalkeeper Heaton to seal a 3-1 victory for Tottenham.
Winning 3-1 at home against Aston Villa, Tottenham had a smooth start to the new season with the first 3 points, to join Liverpool and Man City at the top of the rankings right in the first rounds.
