Erik Lamela, 25, has not played for Tottenham since late October 2016 due to constant injuries. Lamela is expected to undergo surgery this Saturday (April 1) to completely cure the hip injury that has tormented him all this time. Lamela's recovery time after surgery is 3 months.
This season, Lamela has only played 14 matches and scored two goals. Lamela's contract with Tottenham runs until 2019 and the midfielder has asked to leave to get more playing time.
In addition to Lamela, in the away match at Burnley in round 30 of the Premier League this weekend, Tottenham will also be without England international duo Harry Kane and Danny Rose due to injury.
