Tour to Dubai to cheer for Vietnam in the Asian Cup quarter-finals at 28 million VND
After the match with Jordan ended, many travel agencies launched packages to Dubai to cheer for the Vietnamese football team with prices starting from 27.9 million VND/person.
After defeating Jordan in a thrilling penalty shootout, Vietnam entered the quarterfinals of the 2019 Asian Cup. The next match of coach Park Hang Seo and his team will take place at 8:00 p.m. on January 24, Vietnam time, at Rashid Al-Maktoum Stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Immediately after the final result between Vietnam and Jordan was decided, many travel companies launched tour packages to bring Vietnamese fans to the UAE to cheer for the golden boys. The prices offered by the companies are the same, only different in promotions, ranging from 28 million VND - 30 million VND.

This fee includes football tickets, entry visa, meals as per program, cheering gear, tour guide and direct flight tickets.
Visa
If you want to go to Dubai, the first thing you have to do is apply for a visa. The three types of visas that can help you go to this emirate to cheer for football are the 96-hour Dubai Emirates Transit visa, a short-term tourist visa, and a long-term tourist visa.
Specifically, the Dubai Emirates transit visa is for passengers of Emirates airline with a transit flight in Dubai. With a fee of44 USDThis type of visa does not allow for extension.
Meanwhile, short-term tourist visas are valid for 30 days. The visa application fee is90 USDfor single entry and175 USDfor multiple entries.
Long-term tourist visa is for visitors who want to explore Dubai for more than 30 days. The single entry visa fee is330 USDand475 USDfor multiple entries.
Required documents in the file include:
- Application for Dubai visa according to the form of the embassy of this country.
- Original passport with at least 6 months validity and 4 consecutive blank pages.
- 4x6 cm color photo, white background, taken within 6 months of application submission.
- Proof of employment such as employment contract, leave application or business registration certificate.
- Identity card, birth certificate, family register.
- Itinerary for staying in Dubai such as when to stay in Dubai, places and activities to do in Dubai each day, where to visit, which hotel to stay at,...
- Round trip airfare (booking tickets not accepted).
- Proof of finances.
However, the visa waiting time is quite long, 7-10 days, including Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, the trip to Dubai to cheer for the Vietnamese football team in the quarter-final match is probably only for tourists who have a Dubai visa in advance.
Airline tickets
Some airlines that serve flights from Vietnam to Dubai are Thai Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Vietnam Airlines. However, most of them are connecting flights. If you want a direct flight, you can fly with Emirates.
The match of the Vietnam team will take place on the evening of January 24 (Vietnam time). Therefore, you should depart 1-2 days in advance (on January 22 or January 23) and return on January 25.

HCMC: The cheapest round-trip flight for the Ho Chi Minh City - Dubai route is 15.9 million VND. Specifically, at 6:15 a.m. on January 23, you boarded Cathay Pacific flight CX726 to Hong Kong (China). After a transit of more than 7 hours, you continued on Cathay Pacific flight CX731 at 4:55 p.m. to Dubai. Your journey ended at 10:25 p.m.
On the way back, you board Cathay Pacific flight CX738 at 11:45 p.m. on January 25 to Hong Kong. The flight lasts more than 7 hours. After transiting in this city for nearly 6 hours, you continue on Cathay Pacific flight CX799 at 4:50 p.m. Your journey ends at 6:40 p.m. on January 26.
If you want to fly directly, you fly with Emirates for 25.7 million. Specifically, at 11:55 p.m. on January 23, you board Emirates flight EK393. Your journey ends at 4:25 a.m. on January 24.

Hanoi: The cheapest flight is 17.5 million. Specifically, at 7:50 p.m. on January 22, you board Cathay Pacific flight CX 5294 to Hong Kong. After transiting for more than 18 hours, at 4:55 p.m. on January 23, you board Cathay Pacific flight CX731 to Dubai. Your journey ends at 6:00 p.m. on January 24.
