The design of the C-HR is quite aggressive, focusing on the rear. The front of the car is inherited from its elder brother RAV4. Automatic projector headlights, LED daytime running lights. 18-inch alloy wheels.
The version imported to Vietnam is XLE. The interior is mainly black, 3-spoke leather-wrapped sports steering wheel. Manually adjustable fabric seats, 2-zone automatic air conditioning. 7-inch touch screen for the infotainment system. Sports dashboard integrated with 4.2-inch TFT screen displaying multiple vehicle information. ECO and Sport driving modes. Auto-dimming rearview mirror, smart lock, push-button start.
C-HR is equipped with a 2-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 144 horsepower at 6,100 rpm, maximum torque of 188.5 Nm at 3,900 rpm. CVT transmission, front-wheel drive.
The C-HR uses the TSS-P (Toyota Safety Sense P) safety package with collision warning, lane departure warning, cruise control, electronic handbrake. Vehicle stability control (VSC), anti-slip control (TC), hill start assist control (HAC), tire pressure warning, 10 airbags.
Initially, Toyota positioned the C-HR in the same segment as the Mazda CX-3, Honda HR-V, and Nissan Qashqai. But after the production version was launched, the Japanese automaker ambitiously aimed the C-HR at competing with small luxury cars like the BMW X1 or Audi Q2.
