Toyota C-HR is about to launch in the ASEAN market

Toyota's hottest product has finally arrived in Malaysia. However, there is no official launch date for this model in the Southeast Asian market yet; it is just an introduction.

The Toyota C-HR has not been officially launched in any ASEAN market, although it was tested in Thailand and displayed at the Singapore Motor Show in January 2017.

Introduced in Malaysia is the version using the 8NR-FTS 1.2L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 114 horsepower and 185 Nm of torque, combined with a CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive (AWD is optional in other markets).

Other engine options for the Toyota C-HR include a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine (149 hp/193 Nm) and a 1.8-liter hybrid. The hybrid is all-wheel drive only, combining a four-cylinder VVT-i Atkinson cycle petrol engine with two electric motors and a CVT gearbox.

The version just introduced in Malaysia is equipped with 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, LED fog lights, bulb taillights and LED headlights.

Toyota C-HR is introduced as having full Toyota Safety Sense P active safety features, including: this system warns the driver early about collisions, including the ability to detect pedestrians; new generation cruise control system (adapts to traffic conditions, uses radar to recognize vehicles next to and in front to use reasonable speed); lane warning system with steering control support, automatic headlight system (up/down), blind spot warning system, warning system when reversing...

However, because this is just a preview model, not yet officially launched, the engine equipment and technical specifications above are for reference only and may change when the car is officially available in this market area.
