New Toyota Camry reduced by more than 100 million in Vietnam

The new sedan version has upgraded interior and exterior design, added brown color, reduced by 75-101 million VND depending on the version.

On October 10, Toyota Vietnam introduced the upgraded version of Camry with slight changes in design. All three versions 2.0E, 2.5G, 2.5Q are equipped with LED low beam lights instead of HID type on the old version and the front bumper is redesigned with turn signals. The 2.5Q version uses alloy wheels with a sportier 10-spoke design.

Inside, the Japanese automaker changed the dashboard design with carbon-grain wood paneling, combined with decorative stitching to create a luxurious feel. The highest-end 2.5Q version is equipped with brown seats.

Camry 2.0E uses a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 165 horsepower and a maximum torque of 199 Nm. The 2.5G and 2.5Q versions share a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 178 horsepower and a torque of 231 Nm. All 3 versions are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Safety features on the 2017 Camry are the same as the old version with ABS brakes, BA, EBD, electronic balance, traction control, hill start assist, 7 airbags, emergency brake lights. Rear camera is only available on the 2.5Q.

Camry 2017 keeps 3 colors as the old version: black, silver, golden brown, and adds a new brown color. The price for each version includes 2.0E at 997 million (reduced by 101 million), 2.5G at 1.161 billion (reduced by 75 million) and 2.5Q at 1.302 billion (reduced by 80 million).

With the new price setting, decreasing according to the trend, Camry 2.0E narrows the gap compared to Altis 2.0V Sport (61 million VND), continuing to be higher than its competitor Mazda6 (most expensive 303 million).

Camry, like other sedans in the same segment, has gradually lost its position due to the rise of crossovers, SUVs and small cars. Camry has long been out of the top 10 in Vietnam as before. The new price is officially reduced, but in fact, dealers have reduced the old version by the same amount before.
