Toyota introduces new Innova, priced from 712 million VND in Vietnam

The popular MPV model in Vietnam has added safety features, two new versions, and will be on sale from November 1, 2017.

Compared to the old version, Innova 2017 retains the same overall design, the Japanese car company adds safety features such as a rear camera, DVD player combined with a 6-speaker sound system on the 2.0V version. The 2.0G and 2.0E versions add the VSC electronic balance system, HAC hill start assist, and emergency brake warning lights.

In addition, Toyota added the option of the 2.0 Venturer version with a youthful style aimed at individual customers and young families and the 2.0J version with standard equipment suitable for transportation business customers.

The 2.0 Venturer sits between the 2.0G and 2.0V, equipped like the 2.0G but has 7 airbags like the 2.0V, while the 2.0G only has 3 airbags. The car has additional red and black colors. The interior also has black in addition to the current brown color.

The lowest 2.0J version has minimal equipment and uses a manual transmission.

All versions are equipped with a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine, Dual VVT-i, capacity of 137 horsepower at 5,600 rpm, maximum torque of 183 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Optional 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

Innova dominates the MPV segment with 80% market share, pushing Rondo, Ertiga, Orlando into the small corner of the remaining 20%. Innova has the highest price in the segment but still sells well because of its durability and ability to retain its value.
