Toyota Innova Venturer price 855 million in Vietnam

Venturer is the new version that Innova targets individual customers, equipped similarly to the 2.0G version but has 7 airbags.

The Vietnamese auto market in 2017 witnessed continuous price cuts to attract customers, to counteract the decline caused by the waiting for 2018 mentality. In that situation, companies sought to diversify the choices for customers in the car models they were selling by adding new versions, filling in the gaps of the current versions. Toyota launched the Innova Venturer as a way to do so - a car model between the 2.0G and 2.0V.

The 2.0V version has a high price of 945 million, reaching the range of other segments such as C-size crossovers and D-size sedans. The 2.0G version has a much lower price (817 million) but only has 3 airbags. The 2.0 Venturer version solves the weaknesses of both versions above. The Venturer is equipped like the 2.0G but has 7 airbags like the 2.0V, priced at 855 million, only 38 million higher than the 2.0G.

The Venturer's appearance is no different, but it uses two body colors, red and black, which are more youthful. Halogen headlights, electric folding and adjustable rearview mirrors with integrated turn signals. 16-inch rims painted in contrasting jet black, spoiler and shark fin at the rear help the MPV look more balanced.

The car uses the same engine as all other versions, 2-liter 4-cylinder, Dual VVT-i variable valve control, 137 horsepower at 5,600 rpm, maximum torque of 183 Nm at 4,000 rpm. 6-speed automatic transmission.

Innova Venturer only uses fabric seats, the second row of 3 seats is similar to 2.0G. Interior amenities include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, integrated multi-function control keys, hydraulic power steering; one-touch electric windows, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, with air vents for the rear seats. Entertainment system with 1-disc DVD, 7-inch touch screen, 6 speakers, AUX, USB, Bluetooth hands-free calling connection.

Innova operates like other Toyota models, all at a moderate level, suitable for city and highway driving for gentle drivers. For those who like sports, need to prepare the accelerator early, press deeper, or use Power driving mode. In Power, the accelerator will be more sensitive, the car will shift gears at a later rpm to create a bit of sporty inspiration.

Safety technology includes ABS brakes, EBD, BA, electronic balance, traction control, hill start assist, rear parking assist sensor, 7 airbags.

Innova is still the top name in the popular MPV segment with 80% market share, Kia Rondo, Chevrolet Orlando and Suzuki Ertiga combined only account for 20%. Priced higher than competitors, but Innova has the advantage of being durable, less prone to breakdowns, suitable for MPV buyers for family or transportation business.
