Toyota launches minimalist Land Cruiser version
The Japanese car company has just launched a Land Cruiser Utility version with the most minimal equipment to reduce costs.
Toyota UK describes it as a ''workhorse'' grade, aimed at those who need the durability and reliability of a Land Cruiser (sold as a Prado in certain markets) but don't need things like leather seats, chrome or even alloy wheels.

The new Land Cruiser Utility rides on 17-inch steel wheels that should ease customer doubts about quality and may even offer better ride quality.

Although this is the cheapest version of the Land Cruiser range, it still has a roof spoiler, fog lights, air conditioning, dust-sensing headlights, cruise control, smart key and a 6-speaker sound system with CD player, Bluetooth, Aux and USB ports.

Toyota offers the Land Cruiser Utility in 3-door and 5-door versions. There will be only one engine type, the 2.8L D-4D turbodiesel with 175 horsepower and 419 Nm of maximum torque when combined with a 6-speed manual transmission.

This simplification trend is quite new, not to mention will make the Toyota Land Cruiser more accessible than ever. The 3-door Utility version with manual transmission will start at 45,500 USD (about 1 billion VND) in the UK market, while the 5-door version will cost about 1.04 billion VND./.
