Ho Chi Minh City elects Chairwoman of City People's Council to replace Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam
Delegates of the 9th Ho Chi Minh City People's Council will elect the Chairwoman of the City People's Council to replace Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam at the extraordinary session this afternoon.

As planned, the 13th session will only take place in the afternoon with the content of discussing and approving some reports of the City People's Committee, and voting on the City's personnel work.
Specifically, the meeting will discuss and vote to approve the personnel of the City People's Council and the City People's Committee for the 2016-2020 term, and dismiss Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, former Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairwoman of the City People's Council, from the position of Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Council; Ms. Truong Thi Anh (who has just retired) from the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; and Mr. Huynh Cach Mang (who has just been assigned to hold the position of Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Board) from the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.
In particular, the delegates will elect the new Chairman of the City People's Council.
