Ho Chi Minh City shares experience in the medical field with Nghe An

On June 28, Nghe An Department of Health coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to organize a workshop on cooperation and experience sharing in the health sector between the two localities. Attending the workshop were Associate Professor, Dr. Tang Chi Thuong - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, leaders of several hospitals from Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria Vung Tau province.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Department of Health and medical examination and treatment facilities in the area.

With the workshop, Nghe An Health sector hopes: From the exchange and sharing of experiences in management, operation, development and improvement of professional capacity in medical examination, treatment and disease prevention of Ho Chi Minh City health sector, it will help Nghe An build and perfect a synchronous network from the grassroots to the province, gradually modernize, and increasingly better meet the needs of the people.

At the workshop, health managers from Ho Chi Minh City shared valuable experiences from successful practices of localities and units on issues such as: Smart hospital model; medical examination and treatment activities on demand of public hospitals; experience in implementing quality management activities and style innovation; survey of dissatisfaction and survey of patient experience; management of medical examination and treatment activities under health insurance; application of information technology.

Within the framework of the workshop, the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine and Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and support in the presence of leaders of Nghe An province and leaders of the health sector of the two localities.

Accordingly, in 5 years, Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Medicine Institute will support, train human resources, and transfer high-tech medical packages to Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital. Moving forward, the establishment of a satellite unit of Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Medicine Institute at Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital.

The cooperation minutes between the two units are a concrete step to realize the cooperation agreement between Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An province signed by the leaders of the two localities on April 13, 2019.
