In the first 6 months of the year, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee disciplined 2 party organizations by reprimanding and disciplining 235 party members.

At the press conference to inform about the results of leadership and direction in implementing the tasks of Party building, government building, and people mobilization in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks in the last 6 months of the year, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on the afternoon of June 30, a number of issues on personnel work were informed to the press agencies.

Mr. Tat Thanh Cang, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, chaired the press conference and affirmed that in recent times, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has always paid attention to the training, fostering, planning, rotation, and appointment of cadres. The work of female cadres, ethnic minority cadres, and non-Party cadres has received attention.

Regarding the case of Mr. Le Nguyen Minh Quang, a non-Party member who was recently appointed as Head of the City Urban Railway Management Board, Mr. Tat Thanh Cang said: The city leaders assessed Mr. Quang as a cadre with good professional expertise, qualities, capacity, practical experience, and the ability to complete assigned tasks.

Mr. Tat Thanh Cang also said that in July, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee will coordinate with the Central Organizing Committee to sign a program to coordinate the consolidation of a number of positions, in the spirit of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.

Regarding the inspection and supervision of Party organizations with signs of violations at the Standing Committee of the Hoc Mon District Party Committee, Mr. Tat Thanh Cang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, said that there will be a conclusion next week: “The situation in Hoc Mon is hot regarding the issue of construction and land management. In that situation, the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee has established an inspection and supervision team to monitor signs of violations at the Standing Committee of the Hoc Mon District Party Committee, at the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Chairman of the District People's Committee. The working group has performed its duties and responsibilities properly. It is expected that the inspection conclusion will be announced at the end of next week.”

Regarding the pilot organization of Party activities online, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee said that this is a new and unprecedented initiative. The Party Committee will consider and report to the Central Committee for specific instructions.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee disciplined 2 Party organizations by reprimand, a decrease of 1 Party organization compared to the same period last year; disciplined 235 Party members, an increase of 70 Party members compared to the same period last year.

The main violations are failure to strictly comply with resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party; violation of the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations; lack of responsibility, lax management, violation of regulations of the Party and State; lack of sense of organization and discipline; loss of internal solidarity; violation of policies, laws and regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do.

In the last 6 months of the year, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has set out many key tasks, including leading and directing the effective implementation of planning, training, arrangement and use of cadres and officials to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation./.
