“Because looking at the content of Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai’s resignation letter reflects many things, hidden behind there are many contents that need to be considered and clarified. Meeting and discussing with Mr. Hai is also a way for the leaders of District 1 and the city to learn from experience and come up with solutions,” said Mr. Hoan.

The spokesperson of Ho Chi Minh City added that the delay in processing the resignation of the Vice Chairman of District 1 was due to the fact that the city had recently focused on a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mau Than Spring victory and summarize 2017, while taking care of activities for the Mau Tuat New Year.

Currently, Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai is still working normally and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee will have a conclusion on the resignation letter as soon as possible.

Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai, Vice Chairman of District 1 People's Committee, once led an interdisciplinary inspection team to restore order on the sidewalks.
