» Storm No. 2: Nghe An bans sea travel, no boats allowed to set sail from today (July 16)
On the afternoon of July 16, Vinh City Green Park Joint Stock Company mobilized dozens of employees and 2 trucks divided into 2 teams to go down the streets to trim trees.
“We will prune 44 streets in the city. However, due to the urgent time, we are afraid that we will not be able to finish before tonight, so we will prioritize streets with many old trees such as Phan Dinh Phung, Phong Dinh Cang, Tran Phu….” - said a company official.

The tree workers also prioritized pruning the parasol tree - a tree commonly planted on the streets that is at high risk of breaking due to its brittle trunk. Then, they moved on to trees with large canopies such as the soapberry and the banyan tree.
According to records, on some streets such as Phan Dinh Phung, a series of ancient trees are located close to rows of busy shops. The tree canopy is dozens of meters high, covering many shops. Meanwhile, heavy rain and tangled electric wires make pruning difficult.
