Vinh City: Woman dies after falling into basement.

(Baonghean.vn) - The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 AM on April 10th in the basement of a high-rise building in Block 1, Quang Trung Ward, Vinh City.

At that time, a woman and her daughter were at a restaurant in front of the building when, unfortunately, the mother fell into the basement.

Witnesses said that when she fell, the unfortunate woman's head hit the concrete floor and she lost consciousness on the spot. People quickly called for an ambulance to take her to the hospital, but the victim died shortly afterward.

The scene of the incident

According to observations, the victim fell from a height of approximately 3.5 meters. The restaurant above is located in a cramped space in front of the building's lobby and right at the top edge of the basement.

Following the incident, local police and leaders of Block 1, Quang Trung Ward, arrived at the scene to investigate. It is known that the unfortunate victim resided in Block 13, Hung Nguyen Town. Later that day, the family took the victim back to their hometown.

Mr. Vo Van Nhuan, head of Block 1, Quang Trung Ward, was also present at the scene to inspect the situation. Mr. Nhuan, along with other residents near the building, requested that the building management agency promptly install a protective railing at the edge of the basement to ensure safety.

This building houses major retail outlets, with BigC renting the entire second and third floors for its supermarket, resulting in a large influx of people and potential safety risks.
