Vinh City will launch boat tours on Lam River

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 30, Vinh City People's Committee coordinated with Nghe An Department of Tourism and Hai Chau Company Limited to organize a survey program on boat tourism on Lam River.

Attending the program were comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee; leaders of the Department of Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports, Provincial Tourism Promotion Information Center and many travel agencies.

Boat tourism on Lam River is a type of tourism that has been mentioned for many years, but only now has it basically gathered the elements to initially implement it in practice.

During the survey trip, the delegation worked with Hai Chau Company Limited - the unit investing in building tourist boats and providing tourism services on Lam River to learn about the technical standards, capacity, tonnage, and waterway safety of the boats. At the same time, they discussed with travel businesses about building tours, routes, and determining destinations for tourism itineraries on Lam River.

Accordingly, the tourist boat has a capacity of 150 horsepower, can carry about 50 passengers, provides food and beverage services, and sings folk songs... In the immediate future, the tour on Lam River can connect some points such as Vinh City - Củi Temple (Ha Tinh); Vinh City - Hung Hoa Mangrove Forest - Ngu Island - Lan Chau Island; Vinh City - Nam Dan...

The survey is the basis for travel businesses to have specific assessments, from which they can coordinate to design suitable tours and plan promotions to domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to spreading the tourism brand of Vinh City in particular and Nghe An province in general.
