Vinh City: Strengthening efforts to ensure urban traffic order.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 9th, the Vinh City People's Committee held a conference to review the three-year implementation of Directive 05-CT/ThU of the Vinh City Party Committee on "Strengthening the leadership of Party committees at all levels over urban order management" and to summarize the work on ensuring traffic safety, urban order, and environmental sanitation in 2014.

Overview of the conference

After three years of implementing Directive 05 dated August 25, 2011, of the Vinh City Party Committee, with the involvement of the entire political system and the enthusiastic response of the whole population, the city's urban landscape has been renewed, becoming more spacious, clean, and beautiful. Emphasis has been placed on propaganda and mobilization, contributing to raising public awareness in participating in ensuring urban order and traffic safety. The encroachment on sidewalks for business purposes has been rectified and is gradually becoming more orderly. Along with the guidance and implementation, many wards and communes in the city have developed model projects and model streets; organizations and associations have adopted many new and appropriate approaches, thereby enhancing the responsibility of their members in responding to the directive. In particular, based on the directives of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee, functional forces such as the Police, the Urban Inspectorate (now the Urban Order Management Team), and the City Urban Management Department have stepped in to implement and direct the Regulations Teams of wards and communes to participate in clearing corridors and rectifying shortcomings in urban order management.

Speaking at the conference, representatives from various departments and agencies, as well as representatives from local units, raised suggestions and proposals to address shortcomings and improve implementation in the future. These included, along with the active involvement of all levels of government and relevant agencies, focusing on public awareness campaigns, as well as patrolling, monitoring, and strictly handling violations.

At the conference, the Vinh City People's Committee awarded certificates of commendation to 11 collectives and 26 individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing Directive 05.
