Vinh City: Strengthening the work of ensuring urban traffic order

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 9, Vinh City People's Committee held a conference to review 3 years of implementing Directive 05-CT/Thu of Vinh City Party Committee on "Strengthening the leadership of Party committees at all levels in urban order management" and summarize the work of ensuring traffic safety, urban order, and environmental sanitation in 2014.

Conference overview

After 3 years of implementing Directive 05 dated August 25, 2011 of Vinh City Party Committee, with the participation of the entire political system and the response of the entire population, the urban appearance of the city has been renewed, becoming more spacious and clean. Propaganda and mobilization work has been focused on, contributing to raising people's awareness in participating in ensuring urban order and traffic safety. The situation of encroaching on sidewalks to set up shops for business has been rectified, gradually becoming more orderly. Along with the direction and implementation, in many wards and communes in the city, model models and model routes have been built; organizations and unions have had many new and appropriate ways of doing things, thereby raising the responsibility of members and union members in responding. In particular, based on the direction of the City Party Committee and People's Committee, functional forces such as the Police, Urban Inspectorate (now the Urban Order Management Team) and the City Urban Management Department have taken action, directing the Rules Team of wards and communes to participate in clearing corridors and correcting shortcomings in urban order management.

Speaking at the conference, representatives of departments, branches and representatives of units and localities raised recommendations and proposals to remove shortcomings, aiming to better implement in the coming time. In particular, along with the active participation of authorities at all levels and functional agencies, we will focus on propaganda work, as well as patrolling and controlling, strictly handling violations.
