Vinh City replaces a series of trees on Nguyen Van Cu walking street.
(Baonghean.vn) - Vinh City is cutting down old trees on both sides of Nguyen Van Cu Street and will replace them with a new tree system to create uniformity, preparing for the upcoming opening of a walking street.
In recent days, on Nguyen Van Cu Street (Vinh City), workers have been cutting down and digging up a series of trees, causing many residents to worry because there are many large trees that have provided shade for many years.

Nguyen Van Cu Street will be one of the key streets of the upcoming Vinh City walking street. However, the current situation on this street is that there are many different types of trees, planted in a row and in a messy manner.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Tu - Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said that the city is renovating Vinh city to be green - clean - beautiful, civilized and the replacement of trees has been done on Le Nin street. The replacement of trees on Nguyen Van Cu street aims to create uniformity in the landscape and the city chose the rosewood tree to plant on this street.

According to the plan, the city will liquidate a number of trees that are not included in the planning project for the green tree system in Vinh City, Nghe An Province until 2025, including: 26 banyan trees, 4 parasol trees, 26 milk flower trees, 2 coconut trees, 1 milk fruit tree, 1 rose apple tree, 3 fig trees and 3 cassia trees.
In addition to clearing out unplanned plants, the city will also move 100 mango and royal poinciana trees to the Tien River road and transfer the remaining trees to the nursery for care so that they can later be used as a source of replanting for other roads.

After removing all the old trees, the city will plant 157 rosewood trees on both sides of Nguyen Van Cu Street. The trees have a base diameter of 17 - 23 cm, height of 5 - 5.5 m, the estimated planting distance is 6 m, 1 tree planted.

The city is currently rushing to replace new trees on Nguyen Van Cu Street. Once completed, they will continue to replace trees on Ho Tung Mau Street to create a more beautiful landscape, striving to complete before the walking street comes into operation.
